We believe children learn through doing, seeing and experiencing the world around them. Unless the weather is exceptionally bad we take the children out daily; we go to local playgroups and activities at the children’s centres, we take regular trips to museums, galleries, farms and exhibitions.
We visit local nursing homes, attend sing a-long groups and go to gym-tots. We have had day trips on the ferry to visit Spaceport in Wallasey, the animals at Chester Zoo and Walton Hall & Gardens in Warrington. In the summer we have days out at the beach and picnics in the park.
We let the children learn and experience everyday life for example we collected money for charity and the children came to the bank and helped pay it in. We take them to the local supermarket in Aigburth to choose ingredients for baking or for a picnic. They also go to the local garden centre and choose plants for our nursery garden.
We have buggies and prams suitable from birth and buggy boards for older children. Our buggies are regularly checked to ensure that they are in good working order.
We have a nine seater minibus and use it regularly to go to lots of exiting places!
